Joan Murray Barton Takes the Plunge Under the Full Worm Moon

I finally have been able to continue my swimming under full moons. My goal is to swim under every one this year as long as the sky is clear. The last couple of months it’s been cloudy so the moon was hidden but not last night! Last night’s moon is called the Full Worm Moon — a harbinger of spring perhaps?

It was calm and after having cloudy skies for the last three full moons we were glad to be able to experience this one.

The swim was great and my photographer/ husband Tony did a fine job. It was calm with the water colder (2.2C) than the air, which always makes it easy to go in. Because I’ve been swimming in the winter for two winters my body is acclimatized and I’m able to stay in for six glorious minutes.

I feel  20 years younger and hold firm with the opinion that this activity could help so many people. And being on the water like you folks are in my beloved Kingsville, it’s worth a thought!

As I’ve said before you are never too old to find out something new about yourself . Here I am 77 years old enjoying CWS. I’m having a blast! All because of CWS !

Think about it.

Cheers from the Bruce,
Joan Murray Barton

You are amazing to be able to swim for so long in the cfreezing cold water. Thinking back to high school days. They were the best at KDHS.
Keep doing what your doing. I will just keep on walking every day no matter what the weather.
