Rogers cell and internet networks have been down country-wide since early Friday morning affecting Internet, television, landlines and wireless services. Interac services, some ATMs and debit machines at businesses have also been affected. Fido services have also gone down.

Some police agencies nationwide went to Twitter cautioning that the present outage may affect access to emergency services, including 911.

Rogers put out a Tweet around 9 a.m. saying, “We are aware of issues currently affecting our networks and our teams are fully engaged to resolve the issue as soon as possible. We will continue to keep you updated as we have more information to share.”
