Local School Lottery Raises Over $19,000 for New Computers

St. John de Brebeuf School Principal Mr. Steven Bellaire draws the winning ticket

A hearty congratulations goes out to the students and Catholic School Advisory Council of St. John de Brebeuf on the conclusion of a very successful lottery. This recent fundraising initiative was launched to help raise money to purchase additional computer equipment for the students.

Everyone put in a great effort and together sold 3811 of the available 5000 tickets. Student Isaiah Fraser worked extra hard and sold 294 tickets.

Ticket sales, along with a $100 donation from a super supporter, came in at a whopping $19,055.00! Thank you to all of the family members and friends of the students who supported this worthwhile event.

The lottery winners were:

  • Lisa Summerfield – $2000
  • Lorie Ann Baker – $1000
  • Tammy McCrone – $750
  • Paulo DaCosta – $750
  • Deb Wales – $500

Students who sold a book of ten tickets had their name entered in a draw for one of six $50 Indigo gift cards. The lucky winners were: Adam, Tatum, Morgan, Alice, Easton and Jonathan.

Great work, Eagles!!
