Local Artist To Leave Lasting Mark At Erie Migration District School

A new mural created by a local Grade 12 student is set to brighten the halls of Erie Migration District Secondary School.

Artist Caetrin Scholey

Artist Caetrin Scholey completed the vibrant piece in January 2026. The mural celebrates the beauty, complexity and balance found in nature, using rich texture and bright colours which invite viewers to explore its intricate details.

The work also highlights Scholey’s strong technical skill and artistic confidence in her final year of high school.

The mural was recently displayed at the Kingsville Public Library, where visitors had an opportunity to view and appreciate Scholey’s work.

While its permanent location within the school is still being decided, the piece is expected to become a lasting visual feature for students, staff and the broader school community.

Wherever it ultimately resides, Scholey’s mural promises to bring colour, creativity and inspiration to Erie Migration District Secondary School for years to come.
