Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Windsor and Essex County.

Strong southwest winds gusting 80 to 90 km/h are expected to start Wednesday morning and continue until Thursday.

Residents should note that local utility outages are possible and loose objects may be tossed by the wind. High-sided vehicles will be pushed around by the wind.

Also, due to weather forecasted for Lake Erie, the MV Pelee Islander II will be departing Pelee Island for Kingsville on Tuesday, November 25 at 8:00pm. All sailings for Wednesday, November 26, have been cancelled. Agents will contact those affected by this scheduling change.
