Leamington Council Matters – April 30, 2024

At the Leamington Council meeting of Tuesday, April 30, 2024, Council:

  • Approved applications for 920 County Road 14 to create a surplus dwelling; changed the zoning of the severed lot to recognize the residential use of the lot; and changed the zoning of the retained farm parcel to prohibit residential uses and buildings.
  • Approved the Municipally Significant Event Designation Policy to set clear and consistent criteria when responding to requests for designation of a Municipally Significant Event in the Municipality of Leamington.
  • Awarded a contract for the Nature Fresh Farms Boiler Replacement project to TCI Titan Contracting Inc., in the amount of $859,000 plus HST and authorized the additional project costs of $313,200 to be funded from the Recreation Complex Reserve.
  • Approved 2024 Municipal Community Partner funding and 2024 Municipal Grant funding as recommended by the Municipal Grants Review Committee and authorized the additional funding to be provided through the General and Administration Reserve.
  • Awarded a tender for office renovations at the Leamington Pollution Control Centre and Leamington Water Services to TCI Titan Contracting Inc., in the amount of $111,235 excluding HST.
