Starting in May 2024, the Canadian Dental Care Plan will provide some coverage for Canadian residents who do not have access to dental insurance and have a household income of less than $90,000 a year.

Eligible individuals are required to pay a portion of their dental care under the CDCP depending on their adjusted family net income:
-No co-payment for those with an adjusted annual family net income under $70,000
-40 per cent co-payment for those with adjusted annual family net income between $70,000-$79,999
-60 per cent co-payment for those with an adjusted annual family net income between $80,000-$89,999.
Eligibility criteria:
-no access to dental insurance
-an adjusted family net income of less than $90,000.
-be a Canadian resident
-filed tax return in previous year
