There has been an increased presence of police in the Town of Kingsville while members of the Essex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), West Region Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), and West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Crisis Negotiator Team were on scene for an active police investigation.

Road 2 West had been closed between Division Street North and McCain Side Road but has since been reopened.

Officers will continue to be in the area as the investigation is still ongoing. There is no threat to public safety.
