Break And Enter To Business In Kingsville Leads To Charges

 

On November 5, 2023, at approximately 5:03 a.m., Kingsville Detachment Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a break and enter to a business on Division Street North, Town of Kingsville.

On December 12, 2023, Essex County OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) with the assistance of the Ontario Lottery and Gaming (OLG) Corporate Investigations has charged a Windsor resident in connection with the break and enter.

As a result, a 32 year old male of Windsor was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with:

·      Break, Enter a place – with intent to commit indictable offence S.348(1)(a)

·      Possession Break In Instruments S. 351(1)

·      Disguise with Intent S.351(2)

·      Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 S.354(1)(a)

·      Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 S.354(1)(a)

·      Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000 S.354(1)(a)

·      Mischief – destroys or damages property S.430(1)(a)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice – Windsor on March 8, 2024, to answer to the charges.
