Leamington Council Matters — June 13, 2023

At the Leamington Council meeting of Tuesday, June 13, 2023, Council will:

  • Hold a Public Meeting under the Drainage Act to consider the following matters:
    • Improvements to the outlet portion of the Gorrell Drain to address the continual drain bank erosion within the subject property at 418 Seacliff Drive West (County Road 20).
    • Lebo Creek Drain Watershed Rehabilitation Project to legalize a portion of the drain, update original assessments and improve the drainage works.
  • Hold a Public Meeting under the Planning Act to consider the following matters:
    • Consent Application to create a new commercial recreation lot with an area of 0.51 hectares located at 304 Robson Road – Erie Shores Golf and Country Club and Zoning By-law Amendment (ZBA) No. 277 to change the zoning of the retained parcel.
    • Consent Application to create a new commercial recreation lot with an area of 0.46 hectares located at 483 Bevel Line, Consent Application to add 0.06 hectares of land from 2 Augusta Drive to the lot creation at 483 Bevel Line, and  ZBA No. 278 to change the zoning of the severed lands.
  • Consider a report regarding the preparation of an Engineer’s Report to create a bank stabilization design for immediate bank repairs and plan for future bank repairs on the West Marsh Drain along Mersea Road D.
  • Consider a report regarding the exemption of Bevel Line Village from the provisions of Part Lot Control and the reduction or waiver of application fees.
  • Consider a presentation from the Essex-Windsor Solid Waste Authority regarding the Regional Waste Management Initiative Update.
  • Consider a report regarding the extension of approximately 400 metres of water main from 2214 Mersea Road 7 to 2232 Mersea Road 7.
  • Consider a report regarding the purchase of a new valve maintenance trailer for Leamington Water Services.
  • Consider a report regarding the replacement of the sanitary pump station located on the north side of Robson Road, east of the existing trail.
  • Consider a report regarding the replacement of a section of the Iroquois storm sewer and bank stabilization.
  • Consider a report regarding the replacement of the roof at the Leamington Fire Station and Police Services buildings.
  • Consider a report regarding the replacement of the roof at the Leamington Library.
  • Consider a report regarding the replacement of the roof at the Leamington Arts Centre.
  • Consider a report regarding undertaking an organizational review to identify opportunities and make recommendations.
