OPP Recover Stolen Vehicle In Kingsville

On Saturday May 13, 2023, at approximately 10:54 p.m., members of the Essex County Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), West Region OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and OPP Canine executed a search warrant at a residence in the 800 block of Road 6 East in the Town of Kingsville.  This was in relation to an investigation of a stolen motor vehicle.

As a result, police located a stolen 2023 GMC Acadia, a motorized golf cart and a firearm. The estimated value of the seized items is $62,500.

Micheal Johnny CACILHAS, 35-years-old, from Kingsville has been charged with:

  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 – CC 354(1)(a) (Two Counts)
  • Careless storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or ammunition CC 86(1)
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm CC 91(1)
  • Possession of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order CC 117.01(1)

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
