Opening of the Motorcycle Season 2023 in Windsor Region and Essex County

First Lutheran Church Kingsville and Hogs for Hospice™ invite motorcycle riders and the Kingsville community for the 7th annual Blessing of the Bikes.

This public gathering opens the 2023 riding season in the Windsor region and Essex County with a blessing for the riders to have a safe year. It also promotes a sense of fellowship among riders and community, and supports small businesses in our area.

All these elements support the motto of Hogs for Hospice, “Brotherhood, Sisterhood, and Doing Good.”

Indoor Worship Service

The event begins with an indoor worship service at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 7th, 2023.

The service will be held at First Lutheran Church in Kingsville (27 Spruce Street North, Kingsville, Ontario).

Blessing After Service

Immediately after the service, starting at 11:30 a.m. all riders meet in front of the church for the general blessing.

The blessing will be followed by personal prayers for individual riders.

Traditionally, each rider obtains an annual sticker as a reminder of the bestowed blessing and a charm cross.

* Please note:
There will be no parking at the church but a shuttle service is being provided with pickup at the parking lot behind the Post Office and Public School.
