Spotlight On Business: Purple Vixen Beauty Mobile Spa

As a PSW with a love for art and an appreciation for the beauty industry, starting her own mobile esthetics business felt like the natural next step for Heaven Cooper.

Earlier this month, Heaven took the plunge and Purple Vixen Beauty Mobile Spa went from a business plan to reality.

The Kingsville Times recently spoke with Heaven about her business services and plans for growth.

Kingsville Times:
What was your motivation for starting your business?

Heaven Cooper:
My passion for providing high-quality services to my clients is what keeps me going every day.

I believe that everyone deserves to indulge in relaxation and self-care moments, regardless of any transportation or mobility limitations they may have.

That’s why I saw a need for a mobile service that could bring the spa experience directly to my clients. So, whether you’re a busy professional, a new mom, or simply someone who deserves a little pampering, I’m here to bring the beauty to you!

KT:
What advice would you give to others who might be considering starting a business? What challenges did you face? What support did you receive?

HC:
Starting a business can be both exciting and challenging, but the rewards are well worth it!

If you’re considering starting your own business, my advice would be to first do your research and create a solid business plan. This will help you identify potential challenges and opportunities, and will give you a roadmap for success.

One of the biggest challenges I faced when starting my mobile esthetics business was finding the balance between work and home life. It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and lose track of time, so I make sure to set clear boundaries and prioritize self-care to prevent burnout.

And remember, you don’t have to go it alone! There are plenty of resources available to help you along the way.

I was fortunate to receive great support from my family, my esthetics teachers at St. Clair College, previous clients, and the Windsor Essex Small Business Center. These resources provided me with valuable guidance, feedback, and networking opportunities that helped me grow my business.

Who are your target clients?

HC:
At my mobile esthetics business, my target clients are those who prioritize relaxation and self-care, but may have limitations that prevent them visiting a traditional brick-and-mortar spa.

This could include busy professionals, stay-at-home parents, seniors, or anyone with transportation or mobility issues.

My mobile services bring the spa experience directly to my clients’ homes, offices, or other convenient locations, so they can enjoy a personalized, high-quality beauty treatment without the hassle of travel.

HC:

What do your clients say about your business (assuming you are already up and running)?

HC:
I’ve already received one amazing review since opening April 1st. “Very Professional and friendly. When she left I felt so relaxed. Will definitely recommend.”

KT:
What are your plans for business growth? New services that clients can look out for?

HC:
I’m thrilled to share that Purple Vixen Beauty has some exciting plans for business growth in the near future! By June 2023, we’re planning to open a brand new mobile spa trailer, which will allow us to expand our services and reach even more clients. This trailer will also double as a space for us to provide services at our location in Amherstburg, as well as other locations with strong demand.

Of course, we’ll still be offering our signature mobile services, so you can continue to enjoy the convenience and luxury of Purple Vixen Beauty from the comfort of your own home.
