Warrant Executed in Kingsville

(KINGSVILLE, ON) – On Friday, March 10, 2023, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Essex County and Lambton County Community OPP Street Crime Units (CSCU), Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), Emergency Response Team (ERT) members and OPP Canine Services executed a search warrant at a Pearl Street West, Town of Kingsville address.

During the search warrant, police seized a quantity of suspected Fentanyl, Methamphetamine and Cocaine with an approximate value of $49,000, Canadian currency and seized property including a firearm and ammunition. Two people were taken into custody without incident.

Charged with the following offences is 28-year-old Cody William CROWLEY of Kingsville, Ontario:

·                Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine S.5(2) CDSA

·                Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine S.5(2) CDSA

·                Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Other Drugs S.5(2) CDSA

·                Possession of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order S.117.01(1) (Two Counts)

·                Failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court S.145(5)(a) (Four Counts)

·                Careless storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or ammunition S.86(1) (Two Counts)

·                Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm S.91(1)

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

And also charged with the following offences is 51-year-old Azmavet CHAVIRA-GONZALEZ of Kingsville, Ontario:

·                Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine S.5(2) CDSA

·                Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine S.5(2) CDSA

·                Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Other Drugs S.5(2) CDSA

·                Careless storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or ammunition S.86(1) (Two Counts)

·                Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm S.91(1)

The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on May 2, 2023
