We’re about halfway through winter now and soon it will be Valentine’s Day. Those are cheery thoughts this time of year. Unless you are facing serious financial difficulties. Then the idea of more winter with its extra costs are not so cheery. And Valentine’s Day just becomes another hard day to get through, when there is nothing left to give.
The Kingsville Community Food Bank is at the ready to help people in need. We appreciate the ongoing efforts of the Food Bank volunteers, and we are thankful for those in our community who give so generously.
Here’s a list of items that the Food Bank is looking for in February:
From the Food Bank’s Facebook page:
“The Kingsville Community Food Bank proudly serves Kingsville residents who may be experiencing food vulnerability. We offer perishable and non-perishable items as well as personal hygiene items to those who need a helping hand.”
The Food Bank also welcomes products for babies, pet supplies, laundry and dish detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, tampons, and more. They’re always looking for empty margarine tubs and jars with lids for dish and laundry soaps poured from large containers. If you can help, the Food Bank would love to hear from you!
The Food Bank is located at 18 Division Street North in Kingsville across the street from RBC Bank. You can also use their drop box inside Zehrs.
