Search Warrant Executed — Two People Facing Charges in Kingsville

Illicit Drugs, Cash, and Property Seized

(KINGSVILLE, ON) – On Thursday, January 5, 2023, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Essex County Community Street Crime Unit, Emergency Response Team members and OPP Canine Services executed a search warrant at a Maple Street, Town of Kingsville address.

During the search warrant, police seized a quantity of illicit drugs including Fentanyl, currency and property including a 2017 BMW automobile, total value of $81,802. Two people were taken into custody without incident and are facing charges.

Charged with the following offences is 20-year-old Abdalaazim MALIK HARUN of Kingsville, Ontario:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine,
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine,
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking opioid other than heroin, (two counts)
  • Flight from peace officer

The accused was held pending a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor.

Charged with the following offences is 20-year-old Courtney REDEKOPP of Kingsville. Ontario:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine,
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine,
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking opioid other than heroin, (two counts)

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Windsor at a later date.

    The problem is they get a slap on the worst and are back at it within a couple of months. They need serious jail time. They will get suspended sentence and probation only.

  2. Great Job to our officers! Getting this stuff off our streets is a priority. Wish they could charge them attempted murder with the fentanyl.
    However I do hope these young adults turn it around
