Migration Festival returns from Thursday, October 13, to Sunday, October 16, 2022. Join us for this celebration of migration, nature conservation and Jack Miner!
The Great Migration Paint Out begins Thursday, October 13, 2022. This four-day en-Plein-air (outdoor) painting competition attracts artists from all over Canada. New this year is a Children’s Category and a Quick Paint Competition.
Opening Ceremonies happen at Lion’s Hall at 6:30 pm on Friday, October 14, 2022. Join us for opening remarks, followed by a Family Movie Night around 7:00 pm. We’ll play Fly Away Home. The 2nd Kingsville Scouts will provide free popcorn.
Lakeside Park and Lions Park will host various activities throughout the day on Saturday, October 15, 2022
Lakeside Park activities:
- Pet parade: Dress up your pet, kids, bike, stroller, wagon or tricycle – anything goes
To walk the parade: Meet at Lakeside Park’s cobblestone bridge at 9:00 am to register.
To watch the parade: Gather in the lower bowl at 10:00 am. Bring a chair and blanket. - Train rides

- Natural Pathways Learning Centre: Make stick necklaces, work with clay, create art with nature, practice mapping skills, and explore what fall has to offer!

- Join Bike Windsor-Essex for the Honkin’ Round Town Bike Tour; meet at the Carnegie at 2:00 pm.
Another Migration Festival Marketplace happens Sunday, October 16, 2022. You can also enjoy the Town on Pigeon Bay Historical Walk or hop on your bike for the Jack Miner & Harvest Bike Tour. The Great Migration Paint Out competition also finishes Sunday with a reception at the Grovedale Arts & Culture Centre. Meet the artists, enjoy Windsor Symphony’s String Quartet music, and hors d’oeuvres from the Kingsville Lions’ Club, and watch the awards presentation.
