New 50/50 Lottery to Benefit Erie Shores HealthCare

Tickets for the Erie Shores 50/50 Are On Sale

The Erie Shores HealthCare Auxiliary is launching a new online 50/50 lottery, with proceeds going towards purchasing new hospital equipment. Tickets for the inaugural lottery go on sale October 24th at https://erieshores5050.ca, with ticket packages starting at just $10.

“The Erie Shores HealthCare Auxiliary has worked since the 1960s to raise funds for the hospital, and this lottery brings those efforts to the 21st century,” said Auxiliary President Kerstin Kay. “Our main source of fundraising is the hospital gift shop. When it was forced to close during the pandemic, we knew we needed to find a new way to raise funds.”

Along with the 50/50 jackpot, an early bird prize of $1,000 will also be available during each draw thanks to a generous donation by HUB International and Kent and Essex Mutual Insurance.

“Funds from the Auxiliary make a significant impact on the operations of the hospital,” said ESHC President and CEO Kristin Kennedy. “The money is used to purchase pieces of necessary equipment that aren’t otherwise funded. This equipment is vital to our ability to provide outstanding patient care.”

The jackpot draw will take place on November 18th. To qualify for the early bird prize, tickets must be purchased before November 4th.

This is the first of eight draws planned throughout the year.
