Kingsville Holds its 5th Annual Pumpkin Parade on Tuesday, November 1

On Tuesday, November 1, 2022, Kingsville’s Communities in Bloom Committee holds its annual Pumpkin Parade at Lakeside Park, 315 Queen Street. This community event gives residents a way to recycle their pumpkins, as all pumpkins are donated to an organic farm as compost or animal feed following the parade.

“This is a really special event,” said Kingsville’s Manager of Programming and Special Events, Karen Loney. “It brings a lot of smiles. Both kids and adults love to walk the pumpkin trail and see all the creatively carved jack-o-lanterns. And, of course, it promotes environmental stewardship in our Town.”

Residents can drop their pumpkins off at the Herrington Street parking lot from 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm on November 1, 2022. Then, walk the lighted pumpkin trail from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm in Lakeside Park’s lower bowl.

“Please avoid donating pumpkins with stickers or paint, as those materials are unsafe for animals to eat,” said Loney.
