Great Kingsville Turnout for 42nd Anniversary of Terry Fox Run

Terry Fox’s 42nd Anniversary Virtual Run in Kingsville on Sunday, September 18 was a beautiful sunny day and successful fundraiser. Thanks to all the participants and donors who raised $7832 for cancer research.

Like Terry, our motto this year was “I’m not a quitter.”

A group of runners met at Lakeside Park Sunday morning and ran their previous 5km route from Harold Cull Drive to the Greenway and along Division Street, back to Lakeside Park.

Our thanks go out to our volunteers Miranda, Daan, Ellen and Niels VanPaassen, as well as Jennifer and Julia Schiller, for setting up, collecting donations and handing out participation certificates.

Thank you also to the Carnegie Arts and Visitor Centre for selling 2022 T-shirts.

We extend our thanks to Pam McDonald and the residents at Chartwell Royal Oak Long Term Care Residence for collecting $480 on their Terry Fox Walk.

Kudos to the MFit team of Marilyn and Adrian Farnworth, Heidi Sales-Driscoll, Jim Potter and Madison Selwood, who raised a whopping $3957 in pledges this year.

Congratulations also to Emily Bezaire for raising $1045 and running her 5 km at picturesque Ojibway Park.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again next September.

Remember: Stay healthy, stay fit, and never quit!
