Stop signs will be installed on County Road 34 at County Road 27 in Cottam in the coming weeks.

There are already stop signs on County Road 27 at this location, so the additional signs on County 34 will make it an all-way stop.

Essex County council approved the change at its regular meeting on July 20 at the request of the Kingsville Police Services Board. County Infrastructure and Planning Services staff conducted a review and concluded stop signs on County Road 34 at the intersection are warranted.

The intersection is in the centre of Cottam, where the speed limit on both roads is 50 km/h.
