LEAMINGTON OPP INVESTIGATING FIRE
OPP LOOKING TO IDENTIFY PERSON OF INTEREST

(ESSEX COUNTY, ON) – The Essex County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), continues to assist the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and members from the office of the Ontario Fire Marshall (OFM) with the investigation.

On Friday, July 8, 2022, shortly before midnight, Leamington OPP officers and the Leamington Fire Department responded to a fire on the 300 block of Erie Street South.

One person was located deceased inside the residence. The identity of the deceased has not yet been confirmed.

Investigators would like to speak to the male in the attached photo and are looking for assistance with identifying this individual. If you can help, contact the Essex County OPP Crime Unit at 1-888-310-1122.
