Dirt Bike Rider Fails to Stop for OPP Officer

(ESSEX COUNTY, ON) – On June 13, 2022 at 3:28 p.m. an officer from the Kingsville Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) detachment was patrolling in the area of Main Street and Wigle Avenue in the Town of Kingsville when they observed an off-road motorcycle being operated on the road with no licence plate.

The officer activated his emergency equipment and signaled for the rider to stop however the rider immediately accelerated and lifted the front tire off the ground performing a “wheelie” and proceeded down the roadway away from the officer.

The Rider and motorcycle are described as:

  • Black T-shirt, shorts and shoes
  • Green helmet with sun visor
  • Smaller off-road style motorcycle
  • Red gas tank and front fender
  • White rear side panels

    He did stop for a school bus and didn’t move until the lights were off.
