The Kingsville Knights U16 team sponsored by Cycle Works travelled to Richmond Hill for a weekend tournament. The boys finished with 2 wins and 1 loss over preliminary play, including a big 10-6 victory against the eventual top seed of their division.

Unfortunately, the tie breaker for runs-against held them back from qualifying for the playoff round. Their only loss came against the eventual tournament champions. The team has a lot to be proud about as they played extremely well with great pitching, hitting and timely defense.

Special mention to Ethan Moore who earned the team’s “Dirtbag” award. With bases loaded and 2 outs, Ethan sacrificed his body by making an incredible diving catch in left-field to keep the runners from scoring and end the inning.

The team plays next on Thursday in Kingsville against the Tecumseh Rangers U16 squad.

Go Knights!
