Windsor Regional Hospital Asks for Community Input

In an effort to make sure that everyone has an opportunity to have a say with the plans for the new Windsor/Essex Acute Care Hospital, Windsor Regional Hospital (WRH) has launched an online engagement platform and a series of virtual town hall meetings.

Members of the public can now visit the Together We Build site to be better informed, ask questions, complete surveys and share ideas for the layout and design of 11 program and service areas in the new hospital.

The platform also has direct links to the virtual town hall meetings that are scheduled from March 21 to April 6.  These town hall meetings will provide hospital leaders, planners, frontline staff and patient representatives an opportunity to update the public on the work being done in each of the project areas and answer questions.

Members of the public are invited to join any or all of the town hall meetings at the scheduled date and time. While registration is not required, individuals are encouraged to register in advance for each event.  Go directly to the registration page by clicking here or clicking the image below.

The town hall meetings will be recorded and available for viewing on the site following each event.

“I have never seen this level of public engagement at this early stage in hospital planning,” said Project Director Paul Landry, who has helped plan some of Canada’s largest new hospitals in the past decade. “The new hospital belongs to everyone and it’s exciting to see the entire community invited to give input and help guide decisions our planning teams are making as they work on its design and layout.”
