Harrow Community Pantry Provides Hope and Resources to Its Community

The Harrow Community Pantry is a food and essentials resource for people across Windsor-Essex. The pantry offers non-perishable goods as well as a variety of fresh produce, milk, bread, eggs, etc. It costs about $1,000 per week to keep the pantry stocked. The pantry is funded through contributions from community members and organizations.

It operates in a drive-thru style. People drive up and are given a list. They check off what they need. Volunteers fill bags with goods, and place them in their trunk.

The pantry is open every single day for one hour (7 p.m. – 8 p.m. on weekdays and 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. on weekends). Donations can be made during these times as well.

We have already seen a significant increase in need in 2022. Usage of the pantry has increased by about 40% this year. Grocery prices have been rising, which has been a challenge.

Monetary donations can be e-transferred to info@projecthopewindsoressex.com

Cheques can be made out to Project HOPE Windsor Essex, and mailed to PO Box 1271, Harrow, Ontario, NOR 1G0.
