Rose Warkentin
Passed away peacefully at the Leamington Mennonite Home on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at the age of 90 years. Rose was preceded in death by her loving husband, George Warkentin (1988). Loving mother of Donna Warkentin (Jose Flores), Wayne (Dawn) Warkentin and Ralph (Diane) Warkentin.
Adored “Grandma Rose” of Michael and Richard Pestowka, Chris, Brian and Sara Warkentin, Wendy Smeaton and Nick Warkentin; and 8 great grandchildren. Sister of Doug (Dorothy), Norm (Pam) and Richard (Carol). Predeceased by siblings Hazel (Bruce), Viola (Ray) and Carl (Georgina). Rose will also be remembered by in laws Irma, Erika (Walt) and Helen (John) along with many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Throughout Rose’s life, she had been an active member of the Kingsville Friendly Club, Epworth United Church and the UCW (United Church Women). She took part in the Stephen Ministry, visiting people at home or hospitals while listening, supporting, and encouraging them through life’s trials.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Leamington Mennonite Home staff on the third-floor for their excellent care of Rose throughout her stay.
Friends will be received at Kendrick Funeral Home, Kingsville on Sunday, December 5, 2021, from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. Masks and Covid screening are mandatory for all who enter the funeral home.
Due to Covid restrictions and limitations on numbers, their will be a private family service and burial.
