Murray Cameron
Passed peacefully as a strong Christian man, who has been promoted to glory, surrounded by his family November 1, 2021, at 88 years.
Loving husband and best friend of Pat Cameron (nee Declerck) for 54 years. He was a “dad like no other” to Melinda (Chris) Mefford, Kristen (Andy) Brock, Gregory (Tonya) Cameron and Julie (Ashton Liberato) Cameron. World’s best grandpa and papa of Cameron, Noah, Bronwyn, Kaden, Piper, Kyan, Dallen, Abby and Adeline.
Brother-in-law of Barb (late Robert) Hazael, Jean (Gerry) Dobson, Dennis (Carla) Declerck and Jeff (Tracey) Declerck. Also left to remember Murray are his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and lifelong friends.
Murray devoted his life to teaching at numerous schools throughout Essex County until he retired after 30 years. He would always “step-up” if a coach was needed for the kids to play their sports. It wasn’t uncommon, even to this day, for people to see him or speak his name and say, “Mr. C was the best!”
The family would like to send out a heartfelt “Thank you” to the doctors and staff at Chartwell Royal Oak LTC for their compassion and support shown to Murray for the past 6 years. A special thank you to PSW Curtis for taking special care of Murray.
A private family memorial will take place at a later day. Arrangements entrusted to Kendrick Funeral Home, Kingsville.
If you wish, memorial donations would be appreciated to the Salvation Army Windsor Community and Rehabilitation Centre, 355 Church St., Windsor, ON N9A 7G9 as Murray always tried his best to help others.
GOD IS GOOD!
