Muriel Marentette (October 6, 1941 – September 5, 2021)

Muriel Marentette (nee Jones)

Died peacefully September 5, 2021, after a long struggle with COPD. Beloved wife of Paul. Loving mother of the late Jamie Lee Williams; grandmother of Sarah and Marissa; great-grandmother of Alessa and Brayden. Instead of flowers, please consider helping those in need such at the Downtown Mission.

After my life partner Muriel passed away on Sunday, September 5, as most of you know, your expressions of both sadness and fondness have helped tremendously. Our forty-plus years together have seen both highs and lows but never dimmed the glow she seemed to exude. She died peacefully in her sleep and in no pain.

To say she was a special person would be vastly understated. I will be forever grateful that she chose to share so many years with me. When we first met, I didn’t know what real love was all about. She taught me through example, as she did with so many others. Count yourself blessed if you were one.

With deepest appreciation,
Paul

  1. It was my experience that Muriel brought with her a bright & bubbly smile and ‘go get em’ attitude whenever she entered a room. We worked together for many years with projects such as Victorian Day Festival & BIA improvement initiatives for her home tow. Kingsville that she adored.
Thank you for all of the smiles and memories Muriel.
