‘Destination Vaccination’ Bus Locations on Thursday and Friday

In an effort to increase vaccination rates, the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit has partnered with Transit Windsor on “Destination Vaccination”, a program which makes it convenient for residents of Windsor and Essex County to receive a vaccine close to home by bringing nurses on the road to administer shots in key locations using a city bus.

On Thursday, September 2, 2021 the bus will be in the Municipality of Leamington at the following locations:

Stop 1 – 33 Princess Street from 11 a.m. to approximately 3 p.m.
Stop 2 – Seacliff Park from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

On Friday, September 3rd, 2021 the bus will be in the following locations in the City of Windsor throughout the day (11 a.m. to 7 p.m.):

Stop 1 – Dieppe Gardens (78 Riverside Drive, West)
Stop 2 – John Atkinson Memorial Centre (4270 Alice Street)
Stop 3 – Forest Glade Arena (3205 Forest Glade Drive)

Individuals born in 2009 or earlier looking to receive a first or second dose COVID-19 vaccine, to do so at the Devonshire Mall (former Sears store) mass vaccination site which is open from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Walk-ins or appointments are available at that site. In addition, select participating pharmacies and healthcare providers are also offering COVID-19 vaccines in Windsor and Essex County and must be contacted directly to schedule an appointment.
