St. Clair College Requires Vaccines on Campus: First Dose by Sept. 7

St. Clair College will be requiring staff and students to have had their first dose of a Health Canada or World Health Organization approved COVID-19 vaccine before September 7, 2021 which is when classes begin.

A second dose of the vaccine must be received within the required minimum period. Staff and students will be required to provide proof that they have done so.

Anyone who can’t get vaccinated for medical reasons or on other grounds protected by the Ontario Human Rights Code can request an accommodation. They should be aware that they will be required to voluntarily disclose their status.

People who have received exemptions must undergo rapid testing twice each week. Rapid testing will also be required of anyone who chooses not to disclose.

Those who have had a positive test result must take a PCR test to confirm their rapid test results. They must self-isolate at home until they receive those results.
