Eric Hughes

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Eric Hughes, on June 19, 2021, at home surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Dorothy Hughes (nee Shortt). Loving father of Norma (John) Manias, Lindsey (Karen) Hughes and Todd (Racquel) Hughes.

Proud grandpa of Cara, Tyler, Lacey, Tia, Heather, Shauna and 4 great-grandchildren. Survived by his sisters Mary and Glenys. Predeceased by his brothers Harold, Giles and Ronald.

Eric retired from General Motors Trim Plant after 37 years of employment.

In following Eric’s wishes, a private family celebration of his life will take place. Arrangements entrusted to Kendrick Funeral Home, Kingsville.

If you wish, memorial donations would be appreciated to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Alzheimer’s Association International.
