Father Christmas Comes to Kingsville

Trips to see Santa Claus and sit on his lap have been a Holiday Season tradition for generations. As far back as you can remember, Santa has been pulling off minor miracles every day right up until December 25. Somehow he manages to appear simultaneously in parades, shopping malls, at Christmas parties, and other seasonal special events.

But even Santa gets pinched by COVID-19. Fortunately Saint Nick is a sharp old dude, who’s been around for a few centuries and he’s learned a trick or two about getting around things like pandemics. He’s got some plans for Kingsville this year.

Of course, he enlisted some helpers — besides his elves, this time. They’re great at building toys and singing holiday songs but he needed something different for the present situation.

Morgan the Elf

As always, Santa went for the experts and this time that included Bob Lynch and Quantum Sound Production.

Bob Lynch has helped Santa out in the past, when the Jolly Old Elf needed to be too many places at one time. Kim DeYong, upon remembering some great Migration Festival Pancake videos, gave Santa the contact info for Gary Glass of Quantum Sound Productions. Gary was happy to help.

Santa’s going to be in the movies.

Since the children can’t sit on Santa’s lap and look up into his jolly, unmasked face, he’s going to come to the children in a virtual visit. Santa will read out the names of the Kingsville area kiddies who are on the Nice List, and he’ll share a Christmas story.

Father Christmas visits Kingsville

Want your family to be able to take part in this heartwarming experience? It’s so easy. Just register your child or children here and that gets them on the Nice List.

When you register, if you mention a gift your child wants for Christmas, then Santa can do a little gift-name-dropping in his video. This will show the kids that he knows what they’re hoping for. Just provides a little Santa credibility in a skeptical day and age. “How did he know what I want? He MUST be Santa!”

See? That’s cool.

If you’ll also include your address, Santa’s Kingsville elves can drop off a little treat before the video is released.

Take Note! — This event is only open to families in Kingsville, Cottam and Ruthven. Children’s names are being collected until December 16.

As you know, Santa Claus goes by a number of names. Different ones have been more popular than others in different places at different times over the centuries. He’s Santa Claus, Father Christmas, Kris Kringle, Saint Nicholas, Père Noel and Babbo Natale, just to name a few of his world-wide aliases.

He’s calling himself Father Christmas in this video for Kingsville.

After the filming is done, it will take a couple of days for production. After that, the video will be uploaded to the internet for families to watch when they choose.

Interested in helping to sponsor this Christmas event? Any funds donated will go toward treats. The business logos of all sponsors will be included on the video.
