Donald Sargent – Kingsville Celebration Centre Obituary

Donald John Sargent
August 16, 1937 – March 14, 2026

Donald John Sargent, born August 16, 1937, in Guelph, Ontario, to Raymond and Daisy Sargent (nee Carter), passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026.

Don was predeceased by his beloved wife, Anne (nee Baker), whom he married on May 18, 1957. He was also predeceased by his brothers Bert, Dave, Mac, and Bill, his grandson Jeremy, and his longtime partner of 20 years, Norma Schmidt.

He is lovingly remembered by his sister, Mima Searle (Bill), sister-in-law Rose Younger and his children: Derek, Kevin (Donna), Lisa Sargent Reed, and Michele Holden (Jeff).

Don was a proud grandfather to Leah, Sheena, Pheona, Sydney, Christian, Geoff (Thi), Danielle (Francesco), Alex, Jeremy, and Mason (Rachael), and great-grandfather to nine great-grandchildren. Donald will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and friends.

He will also be dearly missed by Norma’s family: Carla (Alan), Jennifer (Mike), Marco, Ally, and Brandon.

A small graveside ceremony will be held in Fergus at a later date. Details will be announced when arrangements are finalized.
