Leamington’s Grade 8 Students Ride LT-Go For Free During March Break

The Municipality of Leamington is pleased to announce the return of its LT-Go Grade 8 Program, continuing its commitment to introducing young residents to the benefits of public transportation.

As part of this initiative, all Grade 8 students in Leamington will receive a free LT-Go transit pass for unlimited rides during March Break, from Friday, March 13, 2026, through to and including Sunday, March 22, 2026.

The program provides students with a convenient and free way to travel throughout the community during March Break while helping them become familiar with public transit.

“The LT-Go Grade 8 Program helps introduce young residents to the independence that comes with being able to move around their community,” said Mayor Hilda MacDonald. “By giving students the opportunity to try transit during March Break, we’re helping them become more comfortable navigating Leamington while also building awareness of the transportation options available to them. Programs like this support a more connected, mobile community and help encourage the next generation of transit users.”

The Municipality is partnering with local schools to distribute the transit passes to ensure easy access.

LT-Go is Leamington’s on-demand transit service, offering a flexible approach to public transportation with no fixed routes or schedules. Passengers can book rides through the LT-Go app, online, or by phone, selecting their preferred pick-up times and locations. The service includes 140 transit stops throughout the municipality and operates seven days a week.
