Growing Together
We wrapped up another successful Weatherby–Jack Miner Sticker Draw, hosted the 4th Annual Friends of Jack Miner Golf Tournament, and welcomed two new Board Directors, Greer Smith and Jenn McDonald.
Progress across the grounds included the first phase of the Jasper Hills Playground; the donation of a Jack Miner bust by renowned Canadian sculptor, Emanuel Hahn; strengthened partnerships with countless organizations, including the 2nd Kingsville Scouts; and completion of the corn crib gazebo at Kennedy Woods, which proudly hosted its first wedding ceremony.
Conservation in Action
Our conservation work continued through our partnership with 50 Ducks, using GPS transmitter technology to track migratory waterfowl. Over the course of the year, we banded and released more than 1,100 birds, completed the first phase of our new avian corridor, and installed our first live camera feed.
We also launched our eHive digital archive, expanding public access to Jack Miner’s conservation legacy and the Sanctuary’s history.
