Celebrate Curling Day in Canada at Sun Parlour Curling Club in Leamington.
Experience one Olympic sport you can actually try for yourself – this Saturday, for free! As the world tunes in to watch the Winter Olympics, one sport stands out as both thrilling to watch and uniquely accessible to try: curling.
This Saturday, January 31, 2026 Sun Parlour Curling Club located at 55 Seacliff Drive East, Leamington, invites the community to celebrate Curling Day in Canada with free opportunities to step onto the ice, throw a stone, and sweep like the athletes you’ll see on TV.
Try Curling Sessions will be offered at 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., giving anyone ages 8+ the chance to experience the excitement of curling firsthand. No equipment or experience is required – just bring clean sneakers, warm layers and a sense of curiosity.
“Curling is one of the few Olympic sports you can watch on television and then come try yourself the very same day,” said Melissa Paine, General Manager. “We’re thrilled to open our doors to the community and share the fun, technique, and camaraderie of the game.”
Due to limited space, advance registration is required. Please register here: https://forms.gle/
In addition to the on-ice sessions, spectators are welcome to drop in and watch live curling action at the club, enjoy the atmosphere, and learn more about how to get involved.
