OPP Investigating Robbery In Kingsville

The OPP Essex Crime Unit is investigating a robbery in Kingsville.

On Saturday January 24, 2026, at approximately 10:33 p.m., two unknown individuals armed with a handgun and an edged weapon robbed a person stopped in his vehicle on Road 5, east of Graham Side Road.

The suspects were driving a dark-coloured pick-up truck and stole the victim’s cash and debit card.

They fled the scene after setting the victim’s vehicle on fire.

Suspect information is as follows:

  • Suspect 1 – believed to be “darker skinned male”, wearing black clothing (pants, jacket, gloves, balaclava), carrying an edged weapon
  • Suspect 2 – “darker skinned person”, wearing black clothing (pants, jacket, gloves, balaclava), carrying what appeared to be a black handgun

There were no injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and there is not believed to be a threat to public safety as investigators believe this was an isolated incident.
