The Town of LaSalle is pleased to announce the opening of The Loop Skate Trail at LaSalle Landing. The Loop is located at 1010 Front Road, south of the Event Centre.
The opening marks an important milestone: The Loop at LaSalle Landing is the first outdoor rink to open in the 2025/2026 season, and its location is the furthest south in Southwestern Ontario.
Patrons can skate daily from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm, and users must wear ice skates (skate aids and skate sleds are allowed). Skaters must bring their own helmets, and they are highly encouraged.
Visitors can keep warm in the tent located next to the skate trail, and washrooms are clearly marked in the mechanical building.

As this is an outdoor ice trail, conditions will vary, and there may be temporary closures due to weather and/or maintenance. Visitors are encouraged to check the latest trail status and list of winter rules at The Loop at LaSalle Landing.
There is a Skate Loaning Program, courtesy of Enbridge, that will be offered during Holiday Lights Heritage Nights Weekend Programming (Friday from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Saturday 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Sunday 11:00 am to 4:00 pm). Skate loaning will also be available for the duration of the skating season, and hours may vary.
The Loop, established in 2025, is a multi-use recreational trail. This past summer, residents enjoyed the trail for walking, jogging, biking, and in-line skating. During the colder months, the trail will function as an ice-skating loop, with ice plant mechanical equipment to keep the trail frozen.
