At the Leamington Council meeting of Tuesday, November 18, 2025, Council:
- Held a Public Meeting under the Drainage Act to consider adopting a report titled “Leamington Bridge Cost Sharing for Existing Access Structures Within Municipal Drains” provided by Rood Engineering. A Court of Revision will be held in the next few weeks and affected property owners will be notified via mail.
- Approved the painting and branding of three LT-Go Transit buses at a cost of $11,300 plus HST.
- Passed a By-law to Regulate Traffic and the Parking of Vehicles in the Municipality of Leamington.
- Passed a By-law for the Regulation, Protection and Governance of Parks. The by-law will also extend to the Municipality’s recreational trails.
- Passed a By-law to Exempt Classes of Development from Site Plan Approval to provide greater transparency and a more efficient approach to certain development. Council also passed a by-law to amend By-law 55-22 which regulates signs within the Municipality.
- Approved a “Shred-All” Policy for paper records to prevent the unintentional exposure of personal or confidential information and to ensure compliance with all applicable privacy legislation.
- Awarded Election Systems and Software Canada, ULC (ES&S) the contract for the provision of vote tabulators and accessibility equipment for the 2026 Municipal Election in the amount of $60,500 excluding HST. Council will also consider a by-law authorizing the use of Optical Scan Vote Tabulators and Accessible Voting Equipment for the 2026 Municipal Election.
- Approved a 3-year extension agreement for financial auditing services to Hicks, MacPherson, Iatonna & Driedger LLP.
