John Alphons Loncke
April 15, 1942 ~ November 7, 2025

Passed away peacefully with Marilyn by his side on November 7, 2025 at Erie Shores Healthcare.

John was an avid golfer and a TV sports fan especially for his Cleveland Browns football team, the Toronto Raptors, and the Blue Jays. He was a longtime member of the St. Thomas Golf and Country Club in Union and more recently at the Kingsville Golf and Country Club. John was a lifetime reader, who valued the magic held within the covers of books.

He was a daily Crossword puzzle Sleuth. John was a lover of “Red Pop” with meals and company … especially “Merlot.”

Over John’s decade-long battle against his cancers, he had many folks who walked with him providing extraordinary care and compassion.

Dr. S. Dawood, Family Health Team;

Dr. M. Kanjeekal, Oncologist; Dr. N. Freeman, Palliative Care, both at the Cancer Clinic;

Nurses in the Cancer Clinic and the new Erie Shores Cancer Suite

The VON nurses from Ontario Health at Home;

Dr. M. Battiston and the Nurses for room 225 -1 at Erie Shores Hospital.

John will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In following John’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service. Arrangements entrusted to Kendrick Funeral Home Ltd.
