Essex company Unconquered Wine Tours has signed a deal with Hapag-Lloyd to provide Lloyd’s luxury Great Lakes cruise ship fleet with premier wine tours. This is an exclusive service for passengers while the ships are alongside the port of Windsor, Ontario.
The deal requires Hapag-Lloyd to shuttle three separate wine tour groups daily from their ships docked in downtown Windsor to Viewpointe Estate Winery, the point of departure and return, for Unconquered Wine Tours.
From there passengers will cruise coastal vineyards in style on board vintage electric bikes manufactured by Unconquered Wine Tour’s parent company, Unconquered Custom Technologies.
Cruise ship guests will enjoy award-winning wines at premier Erie Shore estate wineries, culinary delights and a healthy introduction to the assets of Essex County along the way.
The first tours have already been provided to passengers of Hapag-Lloyd’s luxury liner The Hanseatic Inspiration the weekend of Sept 27 with incredibly positive results.
“It was a pleasure to introduce so many visitors to what Essex County has to offer. Sometimes I don’t think we realize how blessed we are with our coastal vineyards, carolinian forest, etc.,” said Sean Moore, Founder and CEO, Unconquered Wine Tours.
“Our goal with this cruise ship agreement is to acquaint as many newcomers as we can to our area, and leave them with a smile on their face.”
