Pet of the Week: Meet Titan

Titan
4-year-old Male Rottweiler

I didn’t always feel big and strong like my name. My beginning wasn’t filled with cuddles or belly rubs. Instead, I learned early that people weren’t always safe, and the world could be scary.

I got really good at making myself small, invisible, hoping no one would notice me. And when I ended up at the shelter? It felt like the loudest, scariest place in the world. I thought maybe that was it for me — that this was all life had for a dog like me.

But then … something happened. I went to foster. And oh boy, you should’ve seen me! It was like someone flipped on the lights in my little dark heart. Suddenly, I wasn’t hiding anymore.

I had a soft bed, gentle hands, and someone who let me take my time. And once I realized I could trust him? Well, let’s just say the butt wiggles came out full force (it’s my signature move now).

These days, I’m actually … happy. I love walks (I don’t pull — sniffing is my jam), I love greeting new people (as long as they let me warm up first), and I really love coming home to my person. I even share my world with a cat, and guess what? I’m respectful! I’ve also met some kids – and I liked them too, especially the polite ones who gave me space.

Now, I’ll be honest with you — I’ve still got a few quirks. Food and bones? Mine. Toys? I get a little carried away, okay? (What can I say, they make me excited.)

But if you’re patient with me, I promise you’ll get to meet the soft, silly, snuggly Titan my foster knows. The one who wiggles his whole body when you come home. The one who finally believes that maybe, just maybe, people can be good.
