Simon Vreman

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Simon Vreman on August 13th, 2025, at Leamington Mennonite Home. Loving husband to the late Doris Vreman, with whom he is reunited. Dear father of Judy Ireland (Doug), Paul (Angie), Tim (Elvie) and Peter (Amy). Opa of Vanessa, Calvin, Samantha, Zachary, Max and Luc.

Simon will also be remembered by special family friend, Annie Hildebrand (Abe) and family, as well as many extended family members, adored friends, and all those he crossed paths with.

Simon proudly served the Essex County District School Board as the Superintendent of Business for many years, and was a dedicated member of Essex Christian Reformed Church.

Visitation will be held at Essex Christian Reformed Church (276 Talbot St S, Essex, ON) on Thursday, August 21st, 2025, from 9:30am until the time of service at 11am.

Burial will follow at Kingsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery at 2pm.

Arrangements entrusted to Kendrick Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Simon’s memory may be made to Essex Christian Reformed Church (276 Talbot St S, Essex, ON N8M 1B8), the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada (20 Eglinton Ave West Ste 1600, Toronto ON M4R1K8), or your favorite charity.
