
At the Leamington Council meeting held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, Council:
- Approved a by-law to allow on-street parking for Peter Avenue between Bennie Avenue and Olive Drive.
- Approved a by-law to add an all-way stop at the Pulford Avenue, Canadian Tire, and County Fair Mall access intersection.
- Approved retaining the services of BT Engineering Inc. to complete the environmental assessment in the amount of $401,985.00 (plus HST), and to complete the design and tender documents in the amount of $175,438 (plus HST) for Mersea Road 1 (CR 33 to Sturgeon Creek).
- Received a report regarding the need to construct a Chimney Swift habitat to replace the habitat that will be destroyed as a result of the demolition of the former Leamington High School located at 125 Talbot Street West, Leamington.
- Approved an organizational redesign to support Council’s strategic vision and direction.
- Awarded the contract for the Mersea Road D Bank Stabilization to Nevan Construction Inc. in the amount of $367,673 (plus HST).
