Art on Display for April at Kingsville Library

Photographer Margaret Fittler’s Art on Display

“Reflective Moments” by photographer Margaret Fittler

Spring was always a time of excitement and anticipation for my family, especially for my mother and grandmother who were both avid gardeners. Their mastery of gardening meant that spring preparation and planting held the promise of a summer filled with stunning colors, fragrant blooms, and the bounty of a delightfully large strawberry patch, vegetable garden, and orchard.

For us kids, spring also ushered in the fulfilment of all those long winter daydreams – swimming, frog hunting, excursions along the creek, hikes in the woods, campfires, and horseback riding.

Through this visual presentation, I’ve not only endeavored to pay homage to the memories of my family and spring, but to possibly revive some of your treasured childhood memories of this season as well. I hope you’re inspired to share those remembrances with your family and/or relive them with cherished childhood friends!

Happy Spring Everyone!
