Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians Virtual Information Sessions

Attention residents/businesses impacted by the overland flooding in August:

In November, the Province announced they would activate their Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians (DRAO) program for certain areas of Kingsville. This program provides assistance for emergency expenses and the costs to repair or replace essential property following a natural disaster not covered by insurance.

The Province is holding two virtual information sessions to help those impacted understand the program and how to apply.

The sessions will cover important topics such as:

  • Before you apply
  • DRAO – Overview
  • How the DRAO Program Works
  • Application Walk-through
  • Review Process – What to Expect
  • Ongoing Support and Resources
  • Question Period

The first session is geared towards homeowners/tenant applicants on Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 7:00 – 8:00 pm.

The second session is geared towards owners of small businesses/not-for-profits/small farms on Thursday, February 22, 2024, from 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm.

Kingsville encourages all residents/businesses considering applying for the DRAO program to attend the applicable session(s) and receive this helpful information.

To register, please use the Province’s online form.
