Three Deceased in Leamington Crash

(LEAMINGTON, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Leamington, is currently investigating a serious motor vehicle collision that occurred at approximately 7:57 p.m. this evening.

A lone vehicle was travelling on Mersea Road 8, approximately one kilometre east of Essex County Road 37, when it left the roadway, struck a bridge embankment and caught on fire. Leamington Fire Services as well as Windsor Essex Emergency Medical Service (EMS) attended along with Police. Three persons were located deceased in the vehicle.

The OPP Technical Collision Investigation Unit (TCI) is currently on scene and Mersea Road 8, between Essex County Road 37 and Kent Road 1 will remain closed until the investigation has been completed.
