(KINGSVILLE, ON) – On December 13, 2021 just after 7:00 p.m., members of the Kingsville Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to report of threats at a residence on Main Street East in the Town of Kingsville.

An investigation revealed that a criminal offence had occurred. As a result, Adam John PAYNE, a 37-year-old resident of Kingsville was arrested and charged with:

• Assault with A Weapon CC S.267 (a)
• Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm CC S.256.1(1)(a)

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Windsor at a later date.
