Olaf
1-year-old Male Doberman Pinscher
Hiiiiii, I’m Olaf! Yes, that Olaf — the one who survived a real-life ice adventure on the Detroit River. I was found floating on ice with another dog friend (wild, right?) and thanks to some amazing humans, we were rescued and given a second chance. I’m safe now and ready for my next big adventure: a forever home.
I’m a Doberman, which means I’m smart, athletic, and very devoted to my people. Don’t let my pictures fool you, because I’m a very tall big guy!! I’m also sweet, loving, and full of energy. I love being around humans and showing affection-sometimes a little too enthusiastically.
I’m still working on my manners, like keeping all four paws on the floor and not using my mouth to ask for attention, but here’s the good news: I’m super food-motivated, eager to learn, and very smart, so training is something I’m genuinely excited about.
I was rescued with another dog, but we’re not bonded and actually do better tackling life separately. I’m confident and happy focusing on my own journey. I’d prefer to be the only dog if possible. I’m not looking to cause issues, I just don’t like them up in my face and may give them some attitude.
I’m not opposed to trying to make a new friend, but it would need to be a very calm and respectful dog friend that will give me space and just co-exist with me if that’s what I choose.
My dream home? An active family or person who wants a canine sidekick for walks, adventures, and maybe even some training classes. I’d love someone who will help me learn the basics, keep my brain busy, and show me all the good things life has to offer. I promise to bring loyalty, laughs, and a whole lot of love in return.
If you’re looking for a handsome, resilient guy with a big heart and even bigger potential … I might just be your Olaf.
